Tunisian economic advisor, Hammouda ben Mohammed ben Alaya, made a visit to Egypt on the 30th and 31st of January, in the context of participating in the activities of the eighth international conference of the World Economic Council, “Egypt Transit under President Sisi”.

The consultant Hammouda ben Alaya pointed out that Egypt’s imports from Tunisia amounted to 59 million dollars, the most important of which were inorganic chemical products at 54,14%, and the rest are machines and electrical appliances and parts thereof, iron and steel, measuring machines for machines and automatic devices, electrical equipment and parts thereof, essential oils and cosmetics , Articles of iron or steel, plain paper, cardboard, carton, plastics and articles thereof, and products of faience.

He called for preparing meetings that bring together officials from the industry and the banking sector in Egypt and businessmen in Tunisia to discuss appropriate proposals to increase cooperation and the need to enhance bilateral cooperation between Egypt, Tunisia and Africa and take advantage of the advantages achieved by the COMESA agreement.
